We are Activists - We make it Happen |
We are an activist religion. We don't just find problems - we solve problems. We are committed to coming up with solutions and take responsibility for bringing new concepts into reality. We make sure that the job is done right. We are a community, and we do the work needed to make the community work. We go out and learn, we try to understand, and we spend a lot of time thinking. We give of ourselves for the common good of all people. In the Spirit of the Tree - our shared knowledge - we support sharing. It is our duty to look around and figure out how to make it all work.
Realists see ourselves as doing "tech support" for the human race. If there is a problem then we will figure out a solution. The word "impossible" is just another word for "challenge". If there's a way, we can make it work. If there isn't a way, we'll still make it work somehow. The Church of Reality is a "make it happen" kind of philosophy. Many people, for example, would say that a religion based on reality can't be done. Nonetheless we have done it. They say that humanity will eventually destroy itself. We say we are going to make sure that doesn't happen.
We think we are not only going to survive but thrive. That belief isn't based on faith or wishful thinking. It is rather a religious commitment to the task of making it happen. It is taking an active role in steering humanity in a positive direction, searching for the best solutions to problems based on reality and putting forth the effort to ensure it is done right. We are committed to doing the hard work it takes to do it right so as to avoid the harder work of having to fix it after it's broken. And to that end we are activists and we are involved in ensuring that tomorrow will be better than today.
